Description SAIC is looking for
Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) Program at Fort McCoy in Wisconsin.
The SCC will act as part of a multi-discipline team that will provide program analytical support and qualified/certified Strength and Conditioning training collaborating with the Cognitive Performance Specialists (CPS) and Athletic Trainers (AT) to function as integrated members of a Brigade (BDE)-based multi-disciplinary team focused on optimizing Soldier readiness and performance within the Army's new Holistic Health an d Fitness (H2F) System. The H2F System is the Army's primary investment in Soldier readiness and lethality, optimal physical and non-physical performance, reduced injury rates, improved rehabilitation after injury, and increased overall effectiveness of the Total Army .
Job Duties: - Developing lines of communication within the BDE and Battalion (BN) leadership.
- Developing and recommending evidence-based, periodise strength and conditioning programs focused on unit missions and individual Soldier tasks.
- Submit recommended strength and conditioning programs to the BDE leadership for approval.
- Track Soldier/unit progression and provide data to the BDE PD as required.
- Coordinate and assist the BDE leadership and/or the BDE Athletic Trainers (AT) to develop, coordinate, and execute approved training programs for Soldiers with physical limitations.
Qualifications Required Education and Experience: - Bachelors degree in an accredited exercise science, health science, or physical education related discipline and (3) three years of relevant experience.
- 1 year of related experience in developing and implementing human performance training in a military or collegiate/professional sports environment---Military experience preferred.
Required Security Clearance: - Must be eligible for a Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
Required Skills: - Interpersonal relationship skills and social sensitivity to relate to Soldiers from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience with Microsoft applications and SharePoint sites.
- Must be physically able to hike in austere environments and terrains while carrying a backpack with necessary supplies on occasion (<20>
- Must be physically able to lift and manipulate loads of weight plates up to 45 pounds.
- Must be able to develop and deliver Strength and Conditioning programming using mobile app technology.
- Must be able to support Mobile Training Teams (<25>
