Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Machine Wear Parts Specialist. The Machine Wear Parts Specialist position is responsible for managing and executing various asset inspections in an assigned territory that includes, but is not limited to, Undercarriage and Ground Engaging Tools. The Machine Wear Parts Specialist leverages the data obtained to take a consultative approach to provide insights related to the application of budget planning of the asset’s operating cost. The individual in this position manages various customer accounts and acts as a liaison between our customers and the various business segments within the dealership, including Sales, Product Support, Marketing, Fleet Services and Parts Operations. Seeking candidates with previous experience building strong customer relationships; High school diploma or equivalent; Industry experience, preferred.
Requirements for the Machine Wear Parts Specialist position include:
Physical requirements must be met for the Machine Wear Parts Specialist job, including the ability to lift and carry items up to 20 pounds. This position requires the ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time, with frequent walking. Repeated stooping, kneeling, bending and climbing beside, onto and under a variety of heavy equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
