You will be the Maintenance Trainer for the Tactical Missiles Precision Fires team. Our team delivers world class fire launcher systems (M270A2, HIMARS) and is responsible for every phase of acquisition—from engineering development through production and field deployment—ensuring warfighters receive safe, reliable, and effective training.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Maintenance Trainer you will design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training programs that cover maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of precision fire launchers, their tools, and test equipment. You’ll work side by side with engineers, program managers, and customers (U.S. and foreign) to translate technical data into clear, hands on instruction while supporting both domestic and international mission requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Create and maintain curriculum for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and HVAC systems on M270A2 and HIMARS launchers.
• Conduct classroom and field training for U.S. and Foreign Military Sales customers, emphasizing safety and mission readiness.
• Develop and deliver diagnostic/troubleshooting modules using vehicle diagnostic equipment and test rigs.
• Perform hands on maintenance and repair demonstrations to reinforce learning objectives.
• Assess training needs, gather feedback, and continuously improve instructional content.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and logistics disciplines to ensure training reflects the latest design changes and sustainment strategies.
• Manage training documentation, records, and certification tracking in compliance with DoD and export control requirements.
• Travel domestically and internationally to support customer sites, field exercises, and live fire events.
• Maintain scheduling, resource allocation, and logistical support for all training events

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
Technical knowledge to ensure the safe maintenance, repair, and operation of the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS)/ M270A1/A2 Fire Control System (FCS) and Launcher Module (LM)
Experience with proper utilization of system, tools, test equipment, stores and facilities, in accordance with established procedures
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Must be willing to travel
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Exhibit competent computer skills to include Microsoft Office products and internet navigation capabilities
Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with the customer and related stakeholders.
Desired Skills:
Have a developed understanding of the Instructional System Design Process. Capable of designing, developing, and updating Training Support Package.
Experience in deploying a variety of training modalities for an effective learning experience.
Industry certifications in automotive mechanics.
International program experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
