RANGE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (GS 12) - CBP USBP SPECIAL OPERATIONS GROUP

IMPORTANT NOTE: This opportunity is ONLY open to DoW SkillBridge candidates on active duty who are AT LEAST 11 MONTHS AWAY from separation and who can intern with CBP during their final 180, 120, or 90 days on active duty. DoW SkillBridge interns receive their active-duty salary during their internship participation.

LOCATION: El Paso, TX

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is located within the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), United States Border Patrol (USBP), Special Operations Group (SOG) and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the SOG Range Complex that is located on the Meyers Range Complex on McGregor Range. The Range Complex consists of four live-fire ranges with targets out to a mile, two classrooms, seven live fire shoot houses, two weapon cleaning room, and a defensive tactics room. In addition to monitoring range utilization, facility maintenance and development, the incumbent will also be responsible for implementation of procedures for internal controls, security, storage and accountability of supplies, equipment, weapons, ammunition and less lethal devices within the SOG Armory.
