QED Systems, LLC, is currently recruiting for a
Subject Matter Expert (Engineer) to join our team at
Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD to support our
C5ISR Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Division contract.
Duties:- Design and implement test and validation solutions, integrating instrumentation, embedded systems, and test methodologies according to Army standards.
- Develop/write scripts for signal generation, acquisition, and analysis across a wide range of communication protocols and technologies.
- Lead the creation and implementation of calibration and validation processes to improve operational efficiency and equipment reliability.
- Assist with system integration, testing, and end-user coordination.
- Drive process improvements by implementing version control best practices, workflow optimization, and cross-platform reporting solutions.
- Manage a project or projects; establish objectives and requirements and develop program/project standards and schedules.
- Review/oversee the preparation of all related documentation and monitor outside resources.
- Prepare reports and briefings; conduct program reviews and meetings.
- Coordinate, review and supervise work of assigned staff.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience: - Detail-oriented with technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Possesses advanced technical and managerial skills; fully knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of a program or functional area. Applicable functional areas include systems engineering, network engineering, acquisition management, business process reengineering, specialty engineering (e.g., communications, systems safety, quality assurance, test and evaluation, reliability and maintainability, systems security etc.), organizational planning, financial management, acquisition logistics, configuration and data information systems, and support or program management.
- Fully knowledgeable of all aspects of the program or programs under his/her management.
- Experience or extensive knowledge with the processes and procedures related to the functional area.
- Work independently under general guidelines or objectives.
Required Clearance: - ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret
Qualifications: - High School diploma/GED required.
- At least twenty (20) years of experience or military experience E7 and up required.
Travel:Up to 25% travel is expected for this position. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.
Work Environment:This position may be performed in a variety of locations, including but not limited to, commercial and/or government offices, test and integration labs, government facilities and depots, and test & evaluation and proving grounds.
Physical Demands:Physical demands of this position include ability to:
- Be independently mobile.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
- Withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer use.
- Climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
- Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as glasses/goggles (eyes), ear plugs/muffs (hearing), hard hats, and breathing respirators/masks.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Flexibility around core hours. Travel may occur outside of normal core hours.

Estimated Salary Range: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00, annually. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. This represents the typical range for fully qualified candidates for this position based on experience, geographic location, and other factors. The final offer amount may vary.
