Paint Shop Technician in
Indianapolis, IN. JOB DUTIES: - Perform sanding, blending, shaping, cleaning, masking, and other tasking related to the preparation and completion of industrial parts for military coating finishes.
- Work with basic measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers daily.
- Working as a team and individually towards a common goal with clear communication efforts.
- Follow standard and common shop processes to perform work tasking but also be able to 'adapt and overcome' when appropriate.
- Follow ISO9000 and AS9100 standard processes and procedures.
- Job tracking, data entry, and paperwork as deemed necessary.
- Project scheduling and demands are fluid thus tasking may deviate when necessary.
- Follow corporate and local office policies and procedures including but not limited to; daily timecard recording and Email checks.
WORK WEEK: - Monday-Friday, 40 hour week, 8 hours per day.
Qualifications EDUCATION EXPERIENCE: - HS/GED and 2 years of experience or Bachelor's degree and zero (0).
BASIC SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGMENT REQUIRMENTS: - Previous experience performing sanding, blending, cleaning, masking, or other tasking related to the preparation and completion of industrial parts for paint finishes.
- Experience as a technician working in a manufacturing/industrial/shop environment is also accepted.
- Experience with measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Basic computer skills are a must (Logging in, Email, Timecard entry, Job tracking, etc.).
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: - U.S. citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance; New Hire employee will be required to submit background information necessary for security clearance evaluation.
