LMI is currently seeking a Data Architect to analyze, manage, and provide insights from organizational databases across USTRANSCOM, located at Scott AFB, IL. This **on-site position** requires a combination of robust data management expertise and advanced analytical skills to design and implement efficient data systems while uncovering actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

The Data Architect will play a key role in the **design, development, and management** of mission-critical databases and data management strategies. The selected candidate will utilize advanced **data architecture methodologies** to design and maintain relational databases and support data-driven decision-making processes. Additionally, they will apply data systems expertise to provide actionable insights into trends, address operational challenges, and support federal initiatives. 

  • Design and manage databases to ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and reporting.
  • Develop and implement strategies for data acquisition, integration, and recovery to support organizational needs.
  • Translate business needs into long-term data architecture solutions and operate in a data warehouse environment.
  • Analyze data to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that drive decision-making and address operational challenges.
  • Evaluate and integrate hardware/software platforms while optimizing data models, systems, and workflows.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following: 

- Bachelor's Degree in **Data Science, Information Computer Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field of study. 

- Active Secret clearance** (preferred) or ability to obtain one (required). 

- Proven experience in database design, data management, and analytics.  

- Experience working within data tools. 

- Proficiency in designing dimensional data dashboards and advanced object/data modeling. 

- Exceptional **analytical and problem-solving** skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable, strategic insights. 

- Knowledge of USTRANSCOM and relevant objectives/goals. 

 

Preferred Skills and Characteristics: 

- Experience with **data visualization** and reporting tools to communicate insights visually. 

- Experience working with a data warehouse environment preferred. 

- Proficiency in designing dimensional databases and advanced object/data modeling. 

- 8+ Years of experience

 

Target salary range: $76390.24 - $130605.48
