Overview

LMI seeks an progressive security leader to lead our overall Corporate Security & Operations Function and team. This key leadership role is responsible for the strategy, oversight, and execution of LMI's enterprise security program — spanning personnel security, physical security, operational security, and insider threat, as well as office service operations. This leader will serve as a trusted advisor to Senior Leadership and drive a culture of security excellence across the organization. This position is based at LMI's headquarters- Tysons, VA or Colorado Springs, CO.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and day-to-day leadership for LMI's Corporate Security program, encompassing personnel security (PERSEC), physical security (PHYSEC), operational security (OPSEC), and SCIF life-cycle management
  • Serve as LMI's Senior Program Official for the Insider Threat Program, overseeing program design, execution, reporting, and continuous improvement in alignment with government requirements and industry best practices.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing security team, fostering professional growth, accountability, and a culture of mission excellence.
  • Advise the Senior Leadership Team on all matters related to personnel, information, physical, and operational security
  • Serve as Team Lead for LMI's Crisis Management Team, directing preparedness planning, incident response, and executive communications during critical events.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), government customers, and industry partners to ensure LMI remains audit-ready and inspection-superior.
  • Oversee and continuously improve security policies, procedures, and training programs to maintain compliance with applicable regulations including NISPOM, ICD standards, and related directives.
  • Direct the Office Services functions, ensuring seamless facility operations in support of LMI's workforce and mission delivery.
  • Drive enterprise-wide security awareness initiatives, embedding sound security practices across all levels of the organization.
  • Manage departmental budget, vendor relationships, and contracts related to security systems, facilities, and related services.
  • Lead and coordinate responses to security incidents, violations, and investigations, ensuring appropriate resolution and corrective action.

Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret security clearance; SCI eligibility required.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in security administration and operations, with demonstrated expertise across personnel, physical, operational, and information security disciplines.
  • Experience constructing and overseeing SCIF facilities and SAPF
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing security teams, including driving measurable improvements in program quality and inspection performance.
  • Deep knowledge of NISPOM, DCSA inspection processes, and related government security regulations and frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a Senior Program Official or equivalent leadership role for an Insider Threat Program.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate complex security matters clearly to senior leaders, customers, and government stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or relevant professional certifications (CPP, ISP, SFPC or equivalent) strongly preferred.
