Description SAIC is seeking an experienced
Electronic Technician to support the integration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ground-based communications and C4I systems for the U.S. Navy. This role is hands-on, customer-facing, and essential to ensuring reliable communications for mission operations. You will work both independently and as part of a field support team, supporting equipment installation, system checks, and on-site technical assistance.
Job Duties:
- Assemble, install, integrate, and maintain a variety of ground-based communications and C4I systems.
- Perform operational checks and ensure systems meet performance and serviceability standards.
- Work with Single-Channel radios, Vehicle Intercom Systems (VIS), Degraded Visual Environment systems, Blue Force Tracker systems, and other tactical communications hardware.
- Support SATCOM, SINCGARS, MUOS, HF, and related communication systems.
- Provide on-site technical support for scheduled and unscheduled service calls.
- Diagnose issues, complete repairs, and document solutions.
- Coordinate with SAIC supervisors and customer stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements and deliverables.
Qualifications Required Education and Experience:- High school diploma with formal electronics training from a Technical School or military Class A/B electronics or communications program
- Experience working with military communication systems, to include at least some of the following:
- SINCGARS
- SATCOM / MUOS / Integrated Waveform
- HF radios
- Blue Force Tracker / JBC-P / MFoCS
- Vehicle Intercom Systems (VIS)
- JCREW I1B1
- DVE systems
- Ability to obtain Secret Clearance (Public Trust required upon hire)
Required Security clearance: Preferred Qualifications:- Previous field service or C4I systems experience
- Experience supporting tactical communications in military environments
Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
