Description:You will be the Tool Design Engineer Senior (Level 3) for the Tool Design team. Our team is responsible for designing and developing custom tools and equipment used to manufacture missiles and missile systems.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Tool Design Engineer Senior (Level 3) you will be responsible for creating innovative tooling solutions that enable high‑performance missile production.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Design, develop, and implement industrial tooling and equipment using 3D CAD (Creo).
- Create detailed technical drawing packages and 3D models for dies, gauges, jigs, fixtures, and machine attachments.
- Evaluate safety, accessibility, economy, mobility, and performance requirements during design.
- Review defective tooling, determine rework solutions, and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate with tooling operations, production, program engineers, and fellow designers.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline or an equivalent combination of experience and education
• Proficient in the use of CAD Software (Creo, SolidWorks, Catia, etc.)
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, product specifications, and other technical data
• Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
• Candidate must be a US citizen and be able to obtain a Secret security clearance
• Knowledge of tool concept and design
• Some experience with GD&T
Desired Skills:• Experience with tooling and tool fabrication
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• CREO/Pro E experience
• Skilled with GD&T
• Knowledge of SAP
• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin processes and procedures
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
