About the Role


We are seeking multiple detail-oriented and experienced Multi- Lines SIU Specialist to join our Special Investigations Unit. In this fully remote role, you will manage SIU Investigations from initial referral through final resolution, serving as the lead investigator and primary client contact throughout the investigative process.


The ideal candidate is highly analytical, organized, and capable of independently managing multiple investigations while evaluating complex information, identifying potential material misrepresentation, and providing clear, actionable recommendations to clients.


This position is desktop-based and can be performed from anywhere within the United State.


Key Responsibilities: 


Investigation Management

  • Manage Multi-Lines SIU investigations from initiation through closure, with an emphasis on any of the following: Homeowners, Premise Liability, Heavy Equipment losses & recovery, Peer to Peer platforms, or commercial auto.
  • Maintain ownership and comprehensive understanding of each assigned case throughout its lifecycle.
  • Serve as the primary investigator and client point of contact.
  • Ensure all investigative activities are documented accurately and thoroughly.

Analysis & Reporting:

  • Compile, review, analyze, and compare information from multiple investigative sources.
  • Review underwriting documents and identify additional investigative needs beyond the original referral.
  • Review claims files, claim notes, and supporting documentation and summarize findings for clients.
  • Evaluate information to determine the existence and significance of potential material misrepresentation.
  • Prepare comprehensive investigative summaries that include:
  • Current case status
  • Findings and materiality assessment
  • Confirmation when no material misrepresentation exists
  • Recommended next steps
  • Recommended additional services
  • Articulate support or lack thereof for applicable state reporting requirements

Field Investigation Coordination

  • Utilize internal Field Investigators when field activities are necessary.
  • Assign, direct, and oversee field investigative tasks.
  • Review field investigator and vendor reports for accuracy, quality, and relevance.
  • Ensure field resources are utilized efficiently and removed from assignments upon task completion.

Resource & Vendor Management

  • Request and analyze investigative resources, including:
  • Database research
  • Surveillance
  • Investigative activity (IA) reports
  • Arson investigation reports
  • Home inspection reports
  • Medical records
  • Claims files
  • Evaluate all gathered information to support or refute allegations of material misrepresentation.
  • Prepare detailed written reports documenting findings and conclusions.

Client Collaboration

  • Coordinate and assign subject matter experts when needed.
  • Conduct and facilitate client roundtable discussions regarding case strategy, findings, and status updates.
  • Provide clear communication and consultative guidance throughout the investigative process.
Requirements

 

Qualifications Required

  • Experience conducting high level, multi-lines, SIU Investigations.
  • Property & Casualty Investigative experience.
  • 10 years of SIU investigative experience.
  • Knowledge of state fraud reporting requirements.
  • Experience coordinating field investigators, vendors, and expert resources.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting claims files, underwriting documents, and investigative records.
  • Excellent report-writing and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple investigations independently and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based investigative tools.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
