Job Description
SAIC is seeking engineers to provide Site Implementation support to the FAA Flight Data Input/Output (FDIO) Second Level Engineering organization. These positions are 100% remote when not traveling. Requires approximately 75% travel within the United States.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES MAY INCLUDE:
- Assisting with FDIO modifications.
- Reading site drawings.
- Implementation, installing and validating hardware and software.
- Cable fabrication and testing.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor of Arts/Science degree in engineering or related field and 9+ years experience; May accept additional experience or degrees.
- Knowledge or experience with FAA processes and systems.
- Knowledge of computer hardware comparable to Comp TIA A+ certification.
- Knowledge of cable paths and protocols.
- Skilled in using MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills using both technical and user-friendly language.
- Possess a flexible personality, self-motivated and willingness to multi-task.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- US Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA Public Trust.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
