The Work
Lockheed Martin is seeking an FPGA Designer to join our Mission Systems team. In this role, you will play a key part in the development of Advanced Processing systems and subsystems, supporting all aspects of hardware development from requirements derivation through product integration. You’ll support efforts to ensure the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work, ensuring that project deliverables meet cost and schedule commitments.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting overall organizational process compliance, including management of the FPGA Development Process.
FPGA development activities and providing technical guidance.
Ensuring the technical integrity and completeness of deliverables.
Managing customer interfaces and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
Leveraging Digital Transformation tools to enhance development processes.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD government clearance at the Secret level.

Owego, NY – Voted the "coolest small town in America," Owego offers a laid-back, casual vibe surrounded by the beautiful Catskill Mountains, making it a great place to live and work.
Develops, designs, verifies, and documents Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC) and Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) development. Determines architecture design, logic design, and system simulation. Assignments include the analysis of all aspects from high-level design to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power utilization. Typically uses specialized equipment to establish operation data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results.
• Bachelors degree in Electrical, Computer, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years or more of professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
• Experience with designing / developing /integrating FPGA subsystems.
• Experience with process reviews, audits and compliance.
• Ability to obtain and maintai n security clearance to at least the Secret level.
• Experience with FPGA design tools (Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, Synopsys Synplify).
• Proficiency with HDL simulators, waveform viewers, and coverage tools.
• Familiarity with hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) test setups and test equipment (e.g., JTAG, logic analyzers).
• Prior involvement in FAA or EASA certification audits.
• Experience with version control systems and configuration management.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $81100.00 - $150500.00
