Job Description
SAIC is looking for an Engineering Technician III in Crane, IN to support the U.S. Navy.
Job duties include:
- Provide test and evaluation, troubleshooting, lot acceptance, qualification, engineering analysis, documentation, procedure/process creation, shipment/receipt and vendor coordination of batteries.
- Provide test and evaluation of various battery chemistries, including Li-ion, Lithium Iron Disulfide, Lithium Calcium and Lead Acid.
- Support battery testing that will consist of testing temperature/humidity cycling, pressure/altitude, acceleration, vibration, and mechanical shock.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology or related field. Additional years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
- Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance. Interim Secret needed to start.
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to read electrical drawings
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Understanding of technical, voltage, test equipment
- 5-7 years practical experience in a power source laboratory
