At Lockheed Martin, quality is critical to mission success. Within the Electronics Production Center, we manufacture circuit card assemblies, cable assemblies, box assemblies, LRUs, stack assemblies, and related electronic products supporting radar programs and emerging new work.
Our quality team ensures products are built, inspected, accepted, and delivered in compliance with engineering, customer, contractual, and regulatory requirements while driving production excellence and continuous improvement.
THE WORK
This requisition is for a Staff Quality Engineer supporting radar programs and new work within the Electronics Production Center. This role will serve as a senior quality presence on the production floor and a key voice for quality-related decisions, technical guidance, and issue resolution.
The selected candidate will provide quality leadership in a high-mix, high-volume manufacturing environment with emphasis on cable assemblies, box assemblies, LRUs, CCAs, and related hardware.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead floor-level quality execution for assigned production areas and programs.
- Support and lead First Article Inspection (FAI) activities in compliance with AS9102.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Production, Program teams, and Quality Program Managers to resolve issues and maintain production flow.
- Lead root cause investigations and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Support product acceptance, nonconformance review, and compliance to internal and customer requirements.
- Mentor junior quality engineers and support consistent quality execution across the team.
- Use Solumina, SAP, and quality metrics to monitor performance and drive improvements.
- Support inspection process improvements and readiness for new program work.
WHO YOU ARE
You are an experienced quality engineering professional who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is comfortable leading from the floor. You bring strong experience in electronic hardware quality, including cables, box assemblies, LRUs, and related products, along with solid knowledge of FAI and production quality processes.
You work effectively across Manufacturing, Engineering, and Program teams to solve problems, maintain compliance, and keep work moving. You also help guide junior engineers and strengthen team execution.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
- Experience in quality engineering within a high-mix, high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting electronic hardware production, including cable assemblies, box assemblies, LRUs, and/or circuit card assemblies.
- Experience leading or supporting First Article Inspection (FAI) activities in accordance with AS9102.
- Experience working with Manufacturing, Engineering, Production, and Program teams to resolve quality issues.
- Experience leading root cause and corrective action efforts.
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide guidance to less-experienced engineers.
Desired Skills
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, and J-STD-001.
- Experience with Solumina and SAP.
- Familiarity with AS9100, AS9102, and applicable aerospace quality requirements.
- Experience with CCAs, cables, box assemblies, LRUs, and stack assemblies.
- Experience using quality metrics, dashboards, Tableau, or similar tools to identify trends and drive improvements.
- Experience improving inspection methods, production quality processes, and product acceptance workflows.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement experience.
- Ability to work across current production and new program startup efforts in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00

- Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
