Responsibilities

  • Develop theater logistics estimates, support concepts, and sustainment plans for AFRICOM-focused operations, exercises, demonstrations, and contingencies.
  • Translate operational requirements into supply, maintenance, transportation, storage, prepositioning, and field-support needs, with clear priorities, timelines, and dependencies.
  • Prepare logistics inputs to operational plans and orders; assess supportability, resource gaps, constraints, and risk, and recommend courses of action.
  • Plan sustainment for autonomous platforms, payloads, batteries, spare parts, control systems, and support equipment from initial fielding through repair, replacement, and recovery.
  • Coordinate logistics requirements with combatant command and Service staffs, United States Transportation Command, operational units, program offices, vendors, and support providers.
  • Integrate deployment, reception, staging, onward movement, resupply, and redeployment requirements with transportation and distribution specialists.
  • Assess maintenance capacity, parts availability, replenishment lead times, storage requirements, and asset visibility to identify readiness shortfalls and sustainment priorities.
  • Support multinational and host-nation logistics coordination through authorized government channels; account for access, customs, regulatory, and support-agreement constraints.
  • Coordinate with transportation, safety, security, and export-compliance specialists on movement and support of sensitive equipment, lithium batteries, and other regulated cargo.
  • Maintain logistics status products, readiness assessments, schedules, risk registers, and action trackers; brief leaders on support requirements and unresolved decisions.
  • Develop contingency logistics options for disrupted distribution, limited infrastructure, and changing operational requirements; capture lessons learned and update support plans.

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Experience developing or executing logistics support plans for military operations, exercises, deployments, or operational equipment.
  • Working knowledge of joint or Service logistics planning and the relationships among supply, maintenance, distribution, storage, transportation, and operational readiness.
  • Ability to assess logistics requirements, resource availability, lead times, and supportability risks and translate findings into executable plans and recommendations.
  • Experience coordinating across government logistics organizations, operational units, vendors, and supporting activities.
  • Understanding of movement, handling, storage, and accountability considerations for sensitive or mission-critical equipment, and ability to coordinate applicable safety and compliance requirements.
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, written communication, briefing, and records-management skills.
  • Ability to work on-site in Tampa, Florida and travel to support planning and field activities at operational, storage, exercise, test, and industry locations.
