Overview

LMI seeks an Electronic Warfare & Protection Integrator to support a Department of War (DoW) mission partner by leading technical integration of electronic warfare (EW), protection, and non-kinetic capabilities with autonomous systems, command and control, communications, and supporting mission platforms. The integrator translates mission needs into integration requirements, coordinates electromagnetic compatibility and spectrum considerations, and leads testing and readiness assessments. The ideal candidate combines applied EW experience with systems integration leadership across approved cloud, on-premises, and tactical edge environments.

This position requires on-site support in the National Capital Region and an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance. The position requires periodic travel to supported commands, operational units, exercises, test events, and industry locations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead integration of EW, protection, and non-kinetic capabilities with autonomous platforms, mission applications, command and control, communications, and data services.
  • Translate operational needs into technical requirements, interface definitions, integration roadmaps, and measurable test and readiness criteria.
  • Coordinate electromagnetic compatibility, electromagnetic interference, spectrum supportability, and spectrum-use requirements with engineering teams and responsible government authorities.
  • Assess system resilience in contested or degraded electromagnetic and communications environments; define integration risks, test objectives, and corrective actions.
  • Develop integration architectures spanning approved network, cloud, on-premises, tactical edge, disconnected, and air-gapped environments.
  • Coordinate software onboarding, application programming interfaces, data flows, identity and access, observability, and configuration requirements with platform and software teams.
  • Align integration with DevSecOps pipelines, software supply-chain controls, cybersecurity baselines, Risk Management Framework activities, and Authority to Operate requirements.
  • Establish interface control documents, configuration baselines, release criteria, test plans, deployment procedures, and sustainment documentation.
  • Plan and lead laboratory, range, exercise, and operational integration events; evaluate interoperability, electromagnetic compatibility, resilience, and mission performance.
  • Lead resolution of cross-system technical issues with EW specialists, cybersecurity personnel, network and software engineers, autonomy teams, operators, acquisition personnel, and vendors.
  • Assess third-party capabilities for compatibility, security, deployability, supportability, and operational relevance; track schedules, dependencies, risks, and readiness.
  • Brief senior leaders on integration progress, test findings, cybersecurity posture, and recommended decisions; mentor technical personnel and enforce repeatable integration practices.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Eight or more years of experience in systems integration, electronic warfare, platform engineering, enterprise architecture, or a closely related technical field.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Applied EW experience integrating, testing, evaluating, or fielding EW or electromagnetic protection capabilities in a defense or national security environment.
  • Experience leading complex technical integration across software, data, communications, network, and compute capabilities in Department of War or national security environments.
  • Working knowledge of electromagnetic compatibility, interference, spectrum coordination, and resilience requirements, including their implications for system integration and test planning.
  • Experience translating mission needs into technical requirements, interface documentation, integration plans, test criteria, and readiness assessments.
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms, containers, Kubernetes, continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, infrastructure as code, application programming interfaces, and observability.
  • Experience integrating applications and data services across enterprise, edge, disconnected, or air-gapped environments; knowledge of Risk Management Framework, Authority to Operate, security controls, software supply-chain risk, vulnerability management, and configuration management.
  • Experience leading technical interchange meetings, integration testing, deployment planning, troubleshooting, and architecture documentation.
  • Exceptional technical communication, executive briefing, leadership, and stakeholder management skills; ability to travel and support laboratory, range, exercise, and operational integration activities.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting a combatant command J6, a Service EW or platform organization, Joint mission partners, or a Special Operations Forces mission partner.
  • Experience integrating EW or protection capabilities with autonomous systems, command and control, tactical communications, or cyber capabilities.
  • Experience coordinating spectrum supportability, electromagnetic compatibility assessments, test organizations, and government approval processes across multiple programs or vendors.
  • Experience operating at Department of War Impact Levels 4 through 6 or in comparable classified cloud and edge environments.

Target salary range is $174,349.80 - $193,722.00
