Job Description
SAIC is seeking a CI/CD Pipeline Developer with strong technical depth in automation and pipeline engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, develop, and optimize CI/CD pipelines with a heavy emphasis on GitLab-centric workflows.
- Collaborate with Java developers, C++ developers, testers, and infrastructure teams to streamline code integration and delivery.
- Implement branching strategies, merge processes, and version control standards using Git and GitLab.
- Enhance developer experience through automation, pipeline refinement, and environment consistency.
- Support containerization and orchestration strategies (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes/OpenShift).
- Maintain detailed documentation of pipeline architecture, configurations, and process workflows.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- BS degree and 2+ years of relevant experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
- Experience using the GitLab environment for CI/CD pipeline creation, orchestration, and automation.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Solid understanding of Git workflows and modern branching strategies.
- Experience supporting Java-based applications or working directly with Java development teams.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Helm).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse technical teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

- Detail-oriented, with a commitment to scalable and secure software delivery.
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
