Description SAIC is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer/Draftsman experienced in 2D layouts and 3D models of machinery, tools, and components using CAD software based on engineer specifications. The individual should be able to take drawings and models from different sources and convert them to a production ready format. The candidate should have experience in design of piece part, subassembly, final assembly, integration, 2D drawings and 3D models, and creation and maintenance of multi-level, indentured BOM, Configuration Management principles, MRP/ERP, and other systems used for managing technical documentation. These systems play a critical role in naval aviation operations, providing advanced solutions for aircraft launches and recoveries aboard Ford-class aircraft carriers. This role offers opportunities for entry to mid-level engineers to work on the design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and ongoing support of high-performance mechanical systems for defense applications.
