Description SAIC is seeking a CAD Drafter III to support the US Navy in North Charleston, SC. The ideal candidates will be responsible for providing design and drafting support to complete large complex assembly models and drawings. The CAD Drafter III will be an integral part of the team creating/updating Technical Data Packages; being familiar with ASME standards, Technical Data Packages, and military drawing standards desired. The Drafter / CAD Operator will coordinate frequently with the drafting team lead for current assignments, as well as coordinating with the project engineer, to meet the customer demands. The candidate will be required to occasionally travel, locally, to the customer's facility where the vehicles are located to work with the engineers and technicians to develop prototype mounting solutions. Description SAIC seeks an experienced and energetic CAD/CAM drafter in Panama City, FL to support Shore Installation and ILS duties for US Navy projects. Job Duties: • Edits existing and creates new engineering drawings using CAD programs such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD. • Ensures proper application of applicable government standards, ASME standards, and other guidelines for drafting engineering drawings. • Collaborates with project engineers to clarify and answer questions regarding drawing updates and support teams during planning sessions. • Reviews drawing updates and new drawings created by peers to ensure all information is incorporated correctly and all standards are followed. • Coordinates with Configuration Management to ensure drawing baseline is maintained and updated by downloading work and uploading finished drawings in product lifecycle management platform.
