Description: This is a deployed position in the Ft. Worth, Tx. area working at various Lockheed Martin supplier companies. (Telecommuter work location reasonably close to Lockheed Martin business supplier requirements as defined in agreement with the Manager). This is not an out of area telecommuter position. Willing to commute to and between suppliers, working to complete customer obligations as required. The selected candidate will be responsible for achieving total quality performance across multiple sites for strategic suppliers that produce major airframe and systems components. Description: The Operations Engineer will implement, drive, monitor, and report the progress/health of the Continuous Improvement System to the Major Build Unit Director, serving as the primary point-of-contact for matters relating to Continuous Improvement within build areas. Utilizing multiple problem solving methods (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.). The Operations Engineer’s main focus will be to increase the overall quality and deliverability of our product while decreasing the total cost of production. Understands the Continuous Improvement Frameworks, improvement, and management operating systems, and serves as the subject matter expert in all of its elements, to include PMT, IPT, and Tier 2 & Tier 3 Obeya.
