Description The Associate Technical Writer will support Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) editing and creating IETMs (Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals) and/or TMs (Technical Manuals) using PTC Arbortext to MIL-STD-3001 specification. JOB DUTIES : • Author, edit, and develop IETMs and/or TMs for NAVAIR equipment, to cover maintenance, operation, repair, theory of operation, troubleshooting, and Illustrated Parts Breakdown (IPB) in accordance with MIL-STD-3001 requirements. • Author, prepare, review, revise, and develop IETMs and/or TMs for NAVAIR equipment from source data such as Logistics Product Data, Engineering Drawings, and Maintenance Plans for equipment operation and maintenance. • Create and update NAVAIR MIL-STD-3001 XML documentation with understanding of XML tags and how to apply to text. • Edit, proofread, and provide writing support across technical and non-technical documents. • Evaluate documents for format, clarity, and quality based on...
