Description: This position is intended to be a development position for eventual Pipefitter/Plumber “A” consideration. Must complete necessary training requirements and on the job experience to be considered for journeyman Pipefitter/Plumber. Installs water, gas, air, oil, steam lines, valves, fittings, and plumbing fixtures after layout has been determined by others. Assists in locating, installing, connecting and testing water distribution, sewer & wastewater lines & other plumbing systems. Repairs, replaces, maintains, or takes other corrective action on such items as broken, leaking or corroded lines, air, water, and gas valves, both above and below ground level. Does repair work on clogged sewer drains and sanitary plumbing equipment. Performs preventive maintenance, routine and periodic functional and performance checks on steam, water, gas, oil, waste treatment and plumbing lines and accessories.
