Description: Lockheed Martin's MFC Business Area is looking for an optical engineer to support the Orlando, FL location. We are looking for an immediate start date but are willing to wait until early 2027 for a full-time candidate to begin. In this role, you will design, analyze, and test complex optical designs in EO systems, primarily military fire control, missile, and laser systems. This position requires an understanding of the production and development of electro-optical fire control and missile systems. You will conduct research and develop manufacturing, integration, and alignment processes for EO systems. The selected candidate will also troubleshoot system hardware issues and develop optical system concepts, layout, and detailed design, applying knowledge of geometrical and physical optics.
