Description: Perform a wide variety of mechanical, welding, machine, and fabrication work required in the repair, modification, and development of complex production equipment. Improvise, develop, machine and/or fabricate tools, jigs, fixtures, as required, in performing such work as disassemble, alter, repair, reassemble and make parts. Involves the use of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shears, brakes, punch presses, grinders, etc. This includes a thorough understanding of materials, processes, and equipment used in completing assigned projects. Keep facilities, material, and work area orderly, exercising care in their use, maintaining general good housekeeping practices, and conforming to all ethics, health, safety, compliance, and quality requirements.
