Description: Perform a variety of simple operations to build up, assemble, wire, and solder electrical and electronic panel assemblies, printed wiring boards, and harnesses. Typical Responsibilities Guided by wiring diagrams, operation sheets and/or assembly work books, perform various operations necessary to properly construct electrical and electronic panel assemblies, printed wiring boards, and harnesses at a bench or on an "A" frame where product must meet military standards such as 2000A and high reliability specifications. Work with associated automatic and manual tools to fasten terminals, connectors, splices, solder, sleeves, and contacts onto wires at various termination points. Use a soldering iron to properly solder pins and wires onto connectors, relays, etc. Use various types of hand tools to assemble, route, tie, and/or install components on harnesses, black boxes, subassemblies, and other related assemblies.
