Description SAIC is seeking a Cable & Harness Technician to support the US Navy in Indianapolis, IN. JOB DUTIES: Reads and follows assembly prints, work instructions, drawings, procedures and specifications used in the manufacturing of Cables and Harness. Diagnose and repair damaged or malfunctioning wiring harnesses, using a variety of tools and diagnostic equipment. Identify and rectify any defects or issues in the harnesses, such as miswiring, poor connections, or insulation damage. Identifies by sight workmanship and material defects in touch-up and assembly areas and may be able to suggest basic changes to the work instructions to improve operations in these areas. Applications may include electronic circuits, photonics and logic systems. Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
