Description SAIC is seeking an Engineering Technician to be specialized in Lab Boat Operations supporting test events in the open ocean for the US Navy Autonomous Systems. This role is ON-SITE in San Diego, CA. Must be local. JOB DUTIES: Perform boat operations efforts on inland or coastal waters. Maintain a safe speed and course while supporting boat operations. Monitor weather conditions and adjust course as necessary. Ensure the vessel's safety equipment is in working order. Communicate with other vessels via radio and other means during boat operations. Perform basic maintenance on the vessel. Carry out navigational tasks as required. Able to work beyond an (10) hour workday as required.
