Description SAIC has an opening for an entry level Paint Shop Technician in Indianapolis, IN. This position will be 2nd shift, 3:00pm EST to 11:30pm EST . JOB DUTIES: Perform sanding, cleaning, masking, and other tasking related to the preparation and completion of industrial parts for military coating finishes. Working as a team and individually towards a common goal with clear communication efforts. Follow standard and common shop processes to perform work tasking but also be able to 'adapt and overcome' when appropriate. Follow ISO9000 and AS9100 standard processes and procedures. Job tracking, data entry, and paperwork as deemed necessary. Project scheduling and demands are fluid thus tasking may deviate when necessary. Description SAIC has an opening for a Paint Shop Technician IV in Indianapolis, IN. This position will be 2nd shift, 3:00pm EST to 11:30pm EST. JOB DUTIES: Perform sanding, blending, cleaning, masking, and other tasking related to the preparation of industrial parts for military coating finishes. Set up, maintain, and operate typical shop equipment such as paint mixers, HVLP paint guns, and paint booths. Apply primers, sealers, basecoats, color coats with correct formulations as per paint manufacturer specifications. Apply polyurethane, lacquers, epoxy paints, or dry lube coatings.
