Description: Role Overview As an Experimental CNC Machinist, you will operate and maintain computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-precision parts for experimental and developmental purposes. Your work directly supports innovation in spacecraft production and contributes to the success of Lockheed Martin Space’s mission. Key Duties / Responsibilities • Machine, fabricate, and assemble parts according to prints and operation sheets. • Interpret CAD data, drawings, and sketches to guide fabrication. • Set up and operate horizontal and vertical CNC machines for drilling, milling, boring, tapping, and other operations. • Verify NC code and adjust machine settings as needed. • Perform secondary operations such as deburring and straightening during machine cycles. • Inspect parts using gauges, micrometers, indicators, calipers, and other measuring tools to ensure specifications are met. • Select and install cutting tools, zero machines, and make necessary setup...
