Description SAIC has an opening for a Welding Manufacturing Engineer Tech within our Army Navy Business Group to support System Integration activities. This position is a member of our Mechanical Analysis, Design, and Engineering (MADE) team and will be a significant contributor to our in-house Fabrication Shop in Huntsville, AL . The candidate must have experience in supporting a multi-disciplinary fabrication shop with proficiency in sheet metal fabrication, sheet metal and general welding, fixture concepts, press brake operation and more. The candidate must be able to interpret 2D drawings, 3D models, and have a basic understanding of Quality Inspection techniques. Description: Join our Test Engineering Fabrication team as a Mechanical Fabricator supporting the development and build of mission-critical test equipment. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for manufacturing, modifying, and assembling mechanical components used in complex electrical test systems that support a variety of defense programs. You will work in a machine shop environment producing custom metal parts and modifying purchased hardware to meet engineering requirements. This role requires the ability to interpret engineering drawings, select appropriate fabrication methods, and execute work with a high level of precision and quality.
