Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Senior Sales Engineer in Elkridge, Maryland. The Senior Sales Engineer is advanced in the sale of new Caterpillar generator sets with ancillary equipment such as weatherproof enclosures, fuel tanks, and automatic transfer switches and manages Carter’s largest customers and/or its most complex projects. The individual in this role will have overall management responsibility for the sales process from design stage to final quote. Priority is the overall sales growth and the development of strong trusting relationships with consulting engineers, contractors, and end-users within the assigned territory. Seeking candidates with a minimum eight years sales or project management experience in electric power generation or related field; Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree preferred.
