Description SAIC is seeking a Modeling Engineer-Scientist to support the Next Generation Submarine Battery program in Crane, IN. Responsibilities: Develop, enhance, and validate thermal and electrochemical models to support battery system design and performance assessment Apply MATLAB for model development, simulation, and analysis Support modeling activities related to multi-physics interactions within NiZn, Lead-Acid, and Lithium battery systems Assist with developing complex thermal and electrochemical models Qualifications Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering or related scientific discipline and five (5) years of experience Experience with thermal modeling Proficiency in MATLAB Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively in a team-based, technical environment Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance; can start once interim clearance is granted.
