The GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat. The Work The Software Engineer responsibilities include software development and support of the GMD Fire Controls (GFC) suite of products within the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Ground-based Midcourse Defense Weapon System (GWS) program.
