Description: OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY This classification requires the performance of precise calibration measurements and repair functions on electrical/electronic/physical/mechanical type reference and secondary standards, and related equipment. Maintain these standards and equipment to the requirements necessary for achieving traceability to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), the United States Navy, or other recognized national metrology institutes. Description: The design team member will support design and construction of Weapons System Infrastructure & Capabilities (WSIC) projects to include major facility modifications, construction projects, and support equipment installation projects for the Trident II missile. During Design, the design team member will develop and review facility engineering design packages, including drawings and sketches, technical specifications, and cost estimates. Facility project designs will be evaluated for compliance with engineering principles and best practices, company standards and policies, customer contract requirements, and relevant specifications and regulations. During construction, the design team member will review and interpret construction plans and specifications to ensure alignment with design intent.
