Description: The Handling & Transportation Manager is responsible for managing the day to day logistic operations of 40 hourly represented and salaried employees at the Strategic Weapons Facility Atlantic located on Kings Bay Naval Submarine base in support of the Trident II D5 Missile components. This is a full time, on site position that may require some alternate (evening) shift support. Description: The design team member will support design and construction of Weapons System Infrastructure & Capabilities (WSIC) projects to include major facility modifications, construction projects, and support equipment installation projects for the Trident II missile. During Design, the design team member will develop and review facility engineering design packages, including drawings and sketches, technical specifications, and cost estimates. Facility project designs will be evaluated for compliance with engineering principles and best practices, company standards and policies, customer contract requirements, and relevant specifications and regulations. During construction, the design team member will review and interpret construction plans and specifications to ensure alignment with design intent.
