Description: - Fabricates shipping containers and packaging to protect flight hardware, fracture critical hardware, fragile items, delicate instruments, hazardous materials, multi-million-dollar assemblies, electronics, and mechanical hardware from the environmental conditions encountered during transportation and long-term storage. Such containers shall meet the packaging requirements noted in the applicable contract, or in the case of hazardous materials, the applicable federal or international regulation. Interpret process plans and drawings provided by Packaging Engineering and coordinate fabrication and packing inspection points with Quality Assurance to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance. - Sets up and operates all woodworking and precision measuring instruments and equipment (i.e. table saw, miter saw, band saw, drill press, drill, nail and staple guns, etc.).
