Position: Transportation Specialist I Job Description: What You'll Be Doing: Responsible for overseeing and ensuring the safe and cost effective delivery of company and customer owned product. Maintain inbound and outbound routing guides and monitor compliance Monitor and report carrier performance, hold periodic reviews with carriers and take corrective action as required. Assist carriers and distribution centers in resolving issues regarding loading, unloading, appointments and daily pick execution. Administer freight payment programs; monitor payment process and reporting of information. Assist in developing and implementing savings and process improvement programs with carriers, suppliers, warehouse operations and other transportation related providers.
