Description: You will be the Optical Engineer for our Electro-Optical Systems team. Our team is responsible for designing, analyzing, and testing complex optical designs in EO systems, including military fire control, missile, and laser systems. What You Will Be Doing As the Optical Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative optical system concepts, layouts, and detailed designs. Your responsibilities will include: • Conducting research and development to improve manufacturing, integration, and alignment processes for EO systems • Troubleshooting system hardware issues and applying knowledge of geometrical and physical optics to resolve problems • Developing and maintaining optical system designs using optical design codes like CodeV • Supporting subcontractor improvements, program cost reduction activities, and optics-related manufacturing producibility or cost savings initiatives • Traveling to optics suppliers to support program...
