Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking an Energetics Engineer to perform lethality-related engineering research, evaluation, and engineering in order to provide mechanical engineering support for multiple aspects associated with missile systems, warhead technologies, missile defeat mechanisms, protection of launcher vehicles, and armor defeat for systems during their development and/or production. The candidate will perform tasks ranging from high-speed impact simulations using structural/hydrodynamic codes to analyze lethality performance and effectiveness using government-standard codes. The candidate will also be responsible for addressing technical issues for the payload system to include its various subsystems and components leading up to the integration of the payload system into the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (LMMFC) rocket and/or missile systems.
