Description: Perform a wide variety of shop control duties in support of manufacturing operations. Responsible for all shop control functions required within assigned area/program. Maintain proper supply of parts and materials; prepare, update and work from current and projected shortage reports; foresee and recognize need for corrective action to offset interruptions and deviations in schedule; react immediately to all urgently needed items, and follow-up through conclusion; assure supplies and related paperwork such as work orders, operation sheets; materials, tools etc., are provided to users. Maintain close contact with assigned area manufacturing supervision and responsible personnel of Purchasing, Material Control, Manufacturing, Product Support and Engineering departments for promise dates, material requirements, and ship effectively, etc. Check incoming and outgoing items in assigned area against accompanying paperwork for proper identification and quantity....
