Description SAIC is seeking an organized and motivated Junior Mechanical Engineer in Middletown, RI who will work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be part of a collaborative team of engineers and support technicians working to bring a variety of mechanical designs from the early concept stage all the way through fabrication. Job Duties: Design mechanical systems for underwater applications, custom data acquisition systems, and automated test hardware for land-based testing of naval systems. Create 3D models of electromechanical systems and the associated 2D fabrication drawings of all hardware. Create technical data packages for systems and control configuration management of the drawings. Work directly with vendors and manufacturers of mechanical systems and custom assemblies to ensure sufficient deliverables on time.
