Description SAIC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to maintain and upgrade customer Linux, Windows, and cloud systems in a secure environment. Duties include but are not limited to: Perform full system upgrades and repairs (Linux and Windows). Troubleshoot and repair operating system (OS) and hardware issues. Perform daily and weekly system backups and recovery while maintaining a log of system problems, errors, failures, and downtime metrics. Maintain hardware and software inventory lists and install software releases and upgrades. Evaluate and install security patches. Create and ensure operation of Active Directory and DNS. Create accounts and set up user specific access while maintaining group policies and procedures. Acquire system accreditation and ensures personnel comply with system security policies.
