Description SAIC is seeking a facilities and hardware specialist to work on our program supporting satellite ground systems for the Space Systems Command (SSC), Kirtland AFB, New Mexico. We maintain a secure operations center with multiple rooms and install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain all IT and telecom equipment according to safety regulations, preventative maintenance schedules and existing equipment protocols. The position requires frequent physical activity. Such activities include: ability to reach overhead, squat, and bend at the waist; the ability to lift boxes of 50 lbs. or more; ability to climb up and down stairs throughout the day; ability to stand for 2-4 hours at a time; ability to climb ladders; ability to work under raised floors; ability to tolerate working inside and outside in all seasons. Description SAIC is seeking a Space Systems Engineer with Model-Based Engineering experience to join our team supporting the Space Systems Command. The ideal candidate can translate the customer's needs into technical requirements and specifications so the team can deliver a customer focused engineering solution. In this role, the systems engineer will support development and definition, including performing risk assessments, management of interfaces, technical planning, requirements verification and involvement in systems architecture development. The selected candidate will merge MBSE and systems-of-systems engineering and integration to create MBSE models that drive integration. Additionally, the candidate needs to be experienced in providing support in systems/subsystem integration and test while working closely with program management to assure complete program integrity.
