Description SAIC is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to support the Space Reactor-1 (SR-1) Freedom Nuclear Power Module (NPM) Verification and Validation (V&V) efforts. SR-1 will demonstrate nuclear electric propulsion and provide a path to higher powered and longer duration Mars missions. SR-1 will demonstrate nuclear electric propulsion and provide a path to higher powered and longer duration Mars missions. The candidate would be S upporting the SR-1 PPE Lead Systems Engineer. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Definition and oversight of PPE assembly, integration and test (AI&T) Development of GSE requirements Development of launch site ground operations Coordinate activities with the SR-1 Vehicle Integration team Provide insight and oversight of the prime contractor's AI&T team Location: Work will be performed in Cleveland, Ohio, onsite at NASA GRC 5-days a week.
