Standard Job Description Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment. Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed. Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Description This role is to support SAIC's contractual support to the NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) Safety and Mission Assurance (SMA) Directorate, the Training Specialist 1 position teaches NASA Workmanship Standards courses and IPC Courses, such as Through Hole Soldering and Surface Mount Technologies, to NASA/contractor engineering and technician staff. The Training Specialist 1 teaches courses in support of a Training Lead, who will mentor and oversee their progression as an instructor. Job Description: Obtain Level B instructor certification in the NASA Workmanship Standards and CIT Certifications in the necessary IPC standards and/or maintain such certifications. This requires approximately 2 to 3 weeks of travel to the NASA Level A training centers and IPC training center every other year.
