Description: Set-up and operate machine tools and metal fabricating machines, to completely and independently perform any operation within their capacity. Ability to produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine utilizing conversational programming and related software. Program milling machines and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and condition switches. Calculate requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs. Layout, fabricate and assemble intricate precision parts and assemblies, sheet metal items and shop tooling devices, including small dies, jigs and fixtures incidental to work being performed to exacting tolerances or extremely close dimensions.
