Description: Responsible for the management of up to 15 engineers, primarily in the electronic, mechanical and analytical disciplines. The engineering manager sits at the intersection of people leadership, technical oversight, and delivery, comprising: • People management (primary responsibility): Hire, onboard, and retain engineers. • Set goals and expectations, conduct performance reviews. • Resolve conflicts and address performance issues. • Build a healthy, inclusive team culture. • Ensure workload balance and prevent burnout. Technical leadership and oversight: • Review designs, architectures, and key technical decisions. • Ensure engineering best practices are followed. • Make tradeoffs between cost, schedule, performance, and risk.
