Description SAIC is seeking a facilities and hardware technician to work on our program supporting satellite ground systems for the Space Systems Command (SSC), Kirtland AFB, New Mexico. We maintain a secure operations center with multiple rooms and install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain all IT and telecom equipment according to safety regulations, preventative maintenance schedules and existing equipment protocols. The position requires frequent physical activity. Such activities include: ability to reach overhead, squat, and bend at the waist; the ability to lift boxes of 50 lbs. or more; ability to climb up and down stairs throughout the day; ability to stand for 2-4 hours at a time; ability to climb ladders; ability to work under raised floors; ability to tolerate working inside and outside in all seasons. Description SAIC has an immediate need for a Data Technician, reports to the Program Manager in support of the SMAEC contract at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. SMAEC provides comprehensive safety and mission assurance (SMA) services to all active and in-development Human Space Flight (HSF) programs led or supported at Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX.
