Description SAIC is currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support our Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) and Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) team located in Lakehurst, NJ. Must be local to the Lakehurst, NJ area and onsite a minimum of 4 days a week. Must be a US citizen and able to qualify for a DoD Secret clearance. Roles and Responsibilities: Lead design projects of small parts up to and including complex mechanical systems, working with stakeholders and ensuring proper physical interfacing with the greater system. Analyze and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, generators, and large motors. Develop (using CREO Parametric) and interpret engineering drawings of complex parts and systems according to best practices and proper geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
